Letting Go & Releasing Resentments Day Retreat
What if the weight you’ve been carrying was never meant to be permanent — and the formula for setting it down has been waiting inside you all along?
The Prison We Don’t Always Name
Resentment is one of the most quietly corrosive forces in a human life. It lives in the body as tension, in the mind as repetition, and in the heart as a door that won’t quite open. For many, resentment becomes a kind of invisible architecture — shaping how we move through relationships, how we see ourselves, and how freely we can inhabit our own lives.
What makes resentment so persistent is not its power, but its familiarity. We mistake it for protection. We confuse it with truth. And without a clear, embodied pathway through it, we remain its tenant — even when we desperately wish to be free.
This retreat was born from exactly that kind of deep desire and the courage to want to live free. It emerged from the deep, honest inquiry of a psychedelic journeyer who returned again and again to the same question: Is there a formula? Something universal, something simple, something I can actually use?A navigation tool not just for the journey room, but for the living room. For the moment a resentment begins to form — not after it has already taken root. What became clear through that inquiry was that such a formula was not only possible, but necessary: one that could illuminate what resentments actually are at their core, teach you to recognize them in their earliest, subtlest stirrings, offer a reliable path to neutralizing them before they calcify, and ultimately return you — again and again — to the joyful, liberated life that is your most natural state.
That formula is what this retreat is built upon.
This is not a lecture. It is not a theoretical framework. It is a living transmission, tested in the most honest laboratory available to any of us — the interior of a human being willing to look. And it is now being offered as a structured, sacred, full-day experience so that you too can move through what has held you — not by force, but by understanding.
About This Retreat
Letting Go & Releasing Resentments: A Sacred Medicine Perspective is a robust, full-day immersive retreat designed to give participants the space, the time, and the tools to genuinely work through the resentments that hold them in place. This is not a lecture. It is a living, breathing day of inner work — held within community, anchored in the body, and guided by a four-part formula that is both practical and profound.
Participants will move through four distinct and carefully sequenced sections each building upon the last, so that by the end of the day, the resentment does not simply feel smaller: it is genuinely held differently. What once felt like a wall becomes a doorway.
You will leave not only with insight, but with a personal, working formula you can return to again and again — because resentments do not stop arising. But now, neither will your capacity to meet them.
What We Will Move Through Together
Name It — The First Act of Freedom: Before anything can shift, it must be seen. This first section creates the sacred container for honest, courageous naming — identifying the resentments that live at the surface and those buried beneath. Through guided visualization, somatic awareness, and reflective journaling, participants begin to bring what has been unconscious into the light of conscious acknowledgment.
Own It — The Radical Return to Self: This section invites one of the most powerful — and most challenging — practices available to us: the reclamation of our own role in the story. Without collapsing into blame or shame, participants explore the ways their resentments are also windows into unmet needs, unspoken boundaries, and unlived truths. Somatic movement and guided visualization deepen this inquiry into the body, where ownership becomes not a burden but a liberation.
Rewrite It — Reclaiming the Narrative: Resentment lives in story. And every story, once examined, reveals that it was never the only version available. In this section, participants are guided to gently dismantle the fixed narrative and explore what becomes possible when the story is held with greater complexity, compassion, and authorship. This is not toxic positivity — it is soul-level storytelling, using symbol, felt sense, and creative inquiry to find the truer, wider arc.
Alchemize It — Transformation as Sacred Act: The fourth and final section is the completion of the formula and the beginning of something new. Here, participants are invited into the full alchemical process — transmuting the residue of resentment into clarity, energy, and authentic forward movement. Through guided visualization, somatic release, and group witnessing, what once felt heavy is metabolized. What remains is yours to keep.
Community, Witnessing & Reflection: Woven throughout the entire day is the healing power of being truly seen. Facilitated group sharing creates a community of genuine presence — a space where participants can speak their experience, be witnessed without judgment, and feel the profound relief of not carrying their story alone.
Journaling & Private Integration: Equally honored throughout the day is the necessity of private reflection. Guided journaling practices at each stage of the formula allow participants to anchor their insights in their own words — creating a personal record they can return to as new resentments naturally arise in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
Grounding Through Mindfulness & Somatic Movement: Each section is opened and closed with embodied practices that prepare the nervous system for deep inner work and support the gentle integration of what has been stirred. The body is not a bystander in this work — it is the primary site of both holding and releasing.
Who This Retreat Is For
This retreat warmly welcomes:
Those who feel quietly imprisoned by old grievances, whether toward others, themselves, or life itself, and are genuinely ready for something to shift
Anyone who has tried to “let it go” through willpower alone and found that it simply doesn’t work — and who now seeks a structured, embodied path through
People in active personal growth, therapeutic work, or spiritual practice who want a powerful complement to the inner work they are already doing
Those preparing for or integrating psychedelic or expanded-state experiences, for whom unresolved resentment is an obstacle to clarity, trust, and depth
Therapists, guides, coaches, and facilitators who support others through emotional and relational healing, and who seek both personal embodiment and a transmittable framework
Spiritual seekers who understand that authentic freedom requires honest reckoning — and who are ready to meet themselves with that level of courage and care
What You Will Leave With
By the end of this day, you will carry something you did not arrive with: a living, personal formula for moving through resentment — not around it. You will have experienced each of the four stages in your own body, in your own story, with your own insights. You will have been witnessed, and you will have witnessed others. And you will understand, perhaps for the first time, that the resentments still to come are not threats to your peace. They are invitations to practice.
You will leave with clarity, with breath in your chest, and with the quiet confidence that you know the way through.
Your Gateway to What Comes Next
This retreat stands fully on its own as a complete and transformative day of inner work. It also serves as a natural companion to the broader Circle of Souls Medicine Quest framework — deepening the emotional and energetic clearing that supports expanded-state work, psychedelic journeys, and the ongoing path of soul-level integration.
This retreat also is a concentrated course of study as it relates to Witness & Honor and Release & Surrender for the larger framework of The Devoted Soul Method.
